3 Things I Added To My Daily Wellness Routine
This post was sponsored by Nature Made® as a part of an Ambassador Program for Influence Central.
As the daughter of a chiropractor, my father emphasized the importance of vitamin and mineral supplements to me at an early age. Vitamin C was a staple in our household and it was the one vitamin I continued well into adulthood. As we get older, and age, our body’s dietary needs change (especially if our diet is less than desirable). Nature Made® vitamins and supplements are an easy, convenient way to help our body get the nutritional support it needs every day, whether it be to support bone health, immune health or energy metabolism (helping convert food into energy).†
Like all of us, I’m not getting any younger. I recently had a birthday that kicked me out of my early 40’s and put me smack at the beginning of my late 40’s. How in the heck did that happen? Because I want to live as long as possible and be as healthy as possible, I recently added three items to my daily wellness routine.
Although I currently do yoga 3-5 times a week, I needed to add something that would help me work my muscles more. With a resistance band, I can do different types of exercises yet modify them to my abilities. I don’t have to leave my home and I can incorporate the bands directly into my yoga routine. Since I’ve started using the resistance bands, I definitely feel stronger and my mind is clearer.
I’m not going to lie. Unless it’s Perrier or Pellegrino (am I water snob?), I despise drinking water. However, a recent bout of dehydration brought me back to reality. The weakness, palpitations, and dizziness I experienced prompted me to make the 8 x 8 rule (eight 8 oz glasses of water per day) my new daily mantra.
In order to maintain my gut health and keep my digestive system healthy, I recently added a daily probiotic to my wellness routine. Nature Made® Advanced Dual Action Probiotic has been clinically studied and provides dual support to both your small and large intestine for comprehensive coverage to help support digestive balance and healthy gut flora.†
The capsule for the small intestine contains Lactobacillus Plantarum which can help relieve gas, bloating, and abdominal discomfort. The capsule for the large intestine contains Bifidobacterium lactis which may help relieve occasional constipation and irregularity. With today’s always on the go lifestyle, irregularity can become quite the issue.
Whenever I need to stock up on vitamins, minerals, and supplements, I head to Walmart where the everyday low prices won’t kill my budget. I always look for the Nature Made® brand because they were the first vitamin brand to earn USP (United States Pharmacopeia) verification on many of its products, and Nature Made® is the #1 Pharmacist Recommended brand for many key dietary supplement categories.*
