12 Shark-Inspired Fonts + I Survived Shark Week Printable #SharkWeek
Hi, all! It’s my daughter’s favorite TV week of the year—Shark Week! I am not a fan because I’ve had one too many scary encounters with sharks. Growing up in Florida, I went to the beach regularly. Up until my teen years, the biggest concern I ever had was getting stung by a jellyfish. That all changed the day a 6-foot shark bumped up against me in waist-high water. I have never been so scared in my life. If you’ve ever tried to run through the ocean, you know it’s no easy feat. Let’s just say I hauled ass once I saw the massive creature circling around me. To make matters worse, a helicopter patrolling the waters above, ordered everyone out of the water immediately. FYI: The Marine and Beach Patrol regularly monitor the coastline of Florida for shark activity.
Stories of swimmers and surfers getting bitten in three feet of water was a regular occurrence (especially during spring shark migration). Scientists speculate that people are getting bit because the sharks are mistaking them for prey. I don’t care what their reasoning is…I don’t want to get bitten. Or eaten. 😉 Anyway, if you’re a fan of Discovery Channel’s Shark Week, these free fonts are for you. They don’t bite and no scary music starts playing when you use them. Cue the JAWS theme song.
