4th of July Scavenger Hunt Printable
The sweet sounds of summer are upon us. The cicadas are chirping, the children are laughing, the water is splashing, and parents are crying (lol).
I know that summertime can be rough if you’re home with the kids. Keeping them busy can be an exhausting task and you swear you’ll flip if you hear, “Mom, I’m bored” one. more. time.
Been there and done that.
So let me help you.
Repeat after me:
They’re only this age once. I will treasure every moment. They’re only this age once. I will treasure every moment.
Before you know it you have a daughter (or son) who is in her late 20’s.😱 How did I get here??
Anway, in honor of the joy of childhood, and one of my kid’s favorite holidays, I created a special something something for all of you.
This 4th of July scavenger hunt printable is perfect for:
- keeping the kids busy
- teaching them observation skills &
- learning how to work as a team (if they have a friend or sibling helping).
If you’re having a barbecue or get together on the 4th, print out multiple copies. Give a copy to each kid with a crayon or marker and ask them to see how many of these objects they can find. Since they’ll be moving around, I don’t recommend pencils (sharp points and all).
Also, if you want to spice things up a bit, give a small prize to whoever finds the most objects or heck, give them all a cookie once they’re done. What’s Independence Day without some good eats? Right? Right!
Have a wonderful summer and a safe 4th of July.
I hope you and your kids enjoy the printable.
