Vintage Christmas Sheet Music Printables

By blogging standards, I’m late to the Christmas action. Many bloggers have had their Christmas trees up and decorated since the first week of October.

Not me.

I’m on baby watch so holiday decorating will be minimal. Minimal decorating means I’ll be making a few ornaments and putting out the tabletop Charlie Brown Christmas tree.

For those of you that don’t know, I’m not pregnant but my daughter sure is. Her official due date is New Year’s Eve, but the doctor told her to expect an early arrival. Update: Meet my granddaughter here!

I’m in the process of making travel arrangements so I can be there {in Florida} when my first grandchild is born. I never thought I’d be a grandmother in my 40’s, but I have to tell you, I’m pretty darn excited.

My daughter just wants it to be done and over. She feels bloated, her back hurts, her feet are swollen, and the baby keeps kicking her in the middle of the night. Ahhh…paybacks are priceless! 😉

Since I’m a HUGE fan of classic Christmas carols, I thought it would be fun to find some old Christmas sheet music. I found these four carols in a hymn book from the late 1800s.

After I scanned each one, I decided not to edit them too much as I wanted the sheets to retain their vintage appearance. I just love how they turned out.

I have so many crafty ideas for these sheets, but I probably won’t have time this year {being on baby watch and all}. My ideas? I’d love to transfer song lyrics onto woodblocks, print each one and display in a rustic frame, make snowflakes from the printed sheets, make a star by rolling up the sheets and gluing together, or use transfer paper and iron the lyrics on tea towels for gift giving {or keeping}!
