When it comes to gastric sleeve surgery (or weight loss surgery), one of the most searched for phrases on Google is “diet after gastric sleeve.” There’s a lot of you out there that want info and since I’ve been there and done that, I’d like to give back by sharing my experience with you.
While I’ve always been comfortable sharing personal stories on the blog, I’ve always cringed at the idea of sharing my stories via video. It’s not that I have a fear of public speaking or because I don’t like how I appear I camera.
It’s the Multiple Sclerosis.
MS has given me the gift of word finding difficulty, slow reaction times. difficulty speaking, cognitive issues, and dry mouth. So sometimes when I’m talking on camera, I draw a blank, or I can’t find the right word, or I misname something.
This can make me feel irritated and even vulnerable but with each video I make, I give myself more grace, more patience, and I just roll with it.
Of course, there’s always going to be internet trolls who leave a nasty or negative comment but I won’t let them stop me because right now, there’s someone who’s reading this, or watching the video, who feels confused, scared, or uncomfortable and is looking for information.
