One of my favorite ways to change up the look in my home is by using free or cheap wall art. Depending upon the colors I use and the arrangement of the frames, it can take a room from blah to yay.
If you like a minimal or farmhouse look, you’re going to love what I have for you today:
minimal, farmhouse black and white botanical prints (free to download through the end of April 2019).
For the longest time, I had these fern prints displayed in the living room. I think they’re one of my all-time favorite vintage prints but recently, I found myself wanting a change.
So I switched out all of the green ferns with these gorgeous blue vintage prints.
While I didn’t hate the way it looked, I didn’t love it either.
It might have something to do with the brown sofa in my living room. The prints hang above the sofa in a gallery wall style so sometimes all I can see is that sofa.
And it’s dull and boring color.
It’s on my list of items to replace but since money doesn’t grow bountifully in my back yard (darn it), that brown sofa will have to stay for now.
Here are a few sofas I’m currently coveting:
Whatever sofa I choose, it will probably be navy blue or gray. I think pure white would irritate my OCD-tendencies because a) cats are messy and b) Teddy the dog is messy.
Anyway, here's a quick iPhone shot of the new black and white botanical prints displayed on my wall. I purchased these front-loading frames years ago and I still love how easy they are to use.
If you'd like to create your own minimal, farmhouse gallery wall, you can download all fifteen prints for free.
A few things to note:
- prints are for your personal use only.
