One Easy Way You Can Help Your Local Cat Shelter #LitterForGood
For those of you that are regular readers of Winter and Sparrow, you know that my pets play a huge role in my life. Their unconditional love, silly antics, and playtime fill my days, and my heart with nothing but love. I love, love, love pets and if I had the room, I’d adopt more. It hurts me to see cats and dogs in shelters waiting for their forever home.
Spitfire, Bandit, and Garfield were stray pets when we welcomed them into our family but Gracie was in an animal shelter on death row when we adopted her. After seeing her cute face on a Facebook post that a friend shared, I knew I wanted to save her life. I had just lost my two cats Zeus and Bear to cancer and kidney disease and I was ready to love another cat. From the moment I saw Gracie in person, I knew I’d made the right decision. Her headbutts and purrs were all the affirmation I needed that I was her human. She’s been with us for over eight years and we just love her.
I do what I can to help the local animal shelters here in Richmond, VA but I’m always on the look-out for additional ways I can help shelter pets in need. Cat’s Pride® believes in helping shelter pets too. Their Litter for Good™ program has donated over five million pounds of cat litter (to animal shelters) since the program started in 1995 and people like you can me can help keep this momentum going.
Here’s how you can help:
The next time you need to buy cat litter, buy a green jug of Fresh & Light litter and Cat’s Pride will donate a pound of litter to animal welfare organizations across America. If you’d like to nominate your local animal rescue, you can do that by joining the Cat’s Pride Club and then submitting your nomination online. This one simple act can make a huge difference to a cat in need.
The Litter for Good program is not a promotion but an expression of Cat’s Pride long-standing commitment to helping animals in need. I think it’s pretty darn awesome. Garfield’s pretty excited about it too.
He celebrates everything with a nap. 😉
P.S. I’m celebrating the no-tracking feature of Cat’s Pride Fresh & Light cat litter. I want these cute little beans to stay clean!
