The One Thing I Never Want To Lose and How I’m Keeping Track Of It
When my daughter was born, I knew that I wanted to keep track of all the important events in her life: first words, favorite foods, first steps, etc., Sensing my needs, one of my friends gave me a Precious Moments baby book at my baby shower. It instantly became my favorite gift.
Twenty-five years later, the book is filled with notes, cards, ultrasound pictures, hospital wristbands, teeth the tooth fairy picked up ;), and so much more. The book’s exterior has seen better days but I still proudly display it with my photo albums.
After ten hurricanes, one major flood, a tornado, two earthquakes, and fifteen housing moves, I’m very protective of that baby book. It would be the one material thing I’d grab if (God forbid) my house was on fire. The contents, the memories, and the items are irreplaceable.
After I saw this commercial from the Tile app, I knew it would be perfect for my daughter’s baby book.
I may or may not be crying right now. Just sayin’. *sniff* Anyway, let me introduce you to the device that’s helping me keep track of that baby book (and the one that brought the lost panda home).
The Tile app is a small tile-shaped icon that uses the power of Bluetooth (and the Tile app on your cell phone) to monitor your treasured item’s location. When the product you’ve linked Tile to is within 100 ft, your cell phone starts ringing. The app also shows you the last place your item was seen. It’s like a GPS tracker for your valuables!
Just in case you’re wondering, what happens if the Tile app can’t locate your item? You put out a request to the Tile community to help you locate it. With over 10 million Tile devices sold, you have access to your own personal search party right in the Tile app.
Using a hole punch and a ribbon, I attached Tile to my most treasured material item. If I can’t find my daughter’s baby book, together we find with Tile.
What item would you never want to lose?
