We’ve got a thing for wreaths at winter + sparrow. We like to make one for every season and holiday which is why we have a tendency to hoard wreath-making supplies (<–hubby made me say it😊).
Did you say Grapevine wreaths are on sale at Michaels? I’ll take three or ten.
All floral is 40-70% off? I better stock up now.
Ribbon is 50% off too? Make some room in the cart.
Fellow crafters, you get where I’m coming from. We want all the supplies but we refuse to pay full price.
We want to make all the things but we don’t have enough time in the day. Before you know it, our craft room looks like an advertisement for an episode of Hoarders.
Okay, I exaggerate a bit but you know what I’m saying.
I guess that’s why my wreaths are moving away from complicated–>to easy and simple. I don’t have a lot of time to spend on one project and I need to use what I have before I buy more.
This lambs ear wreath is perfect for those of you short on time, but still want a hand made wreath on your front door.
With a few simple steps, you can take a grapevine wreath and turn it into something your neighbors will be asking about. The best part? It’s a fall wreath that isn’t orange and brown.
Unique is good.
14-inch grapevine wreath
wildflower bush (in same color range as rose bush)
wired burlap ribbon
glue gun and hot glue sticks
Now, watch this video to see just how easy it is to make your own lambs ear wreath.
You can find instructions on how to make the burlap ribbon here.
