Brief Thoughts On Friendship and Betrayal
When I was a kid, friendships weren’t really complicated. For example: “You like to play Barbie’s too? Cool, we’re friends”. “You like to play tennis? Great, we’re buddies”.
But as I got older, I learned that friendships required more than shared activities to maintain themselves. Friendships need trust and loyalty.
But with the good, comes the bad. In our lifetime, most of us will be betrayed or disappointed at least once by someone we thought our friend. It’s part of life. We need to learn from it. I have learned from it.
Always remember:
When someone betrays you, it is a reflection of their character, not yours.
